Individual Initiative #3: Collaborative Book Effort by Ladies of Liberty | #iTIP

Calling all ladies who mistakenly got into activism!  We need your story!

Read on about how this Initiative started:

I was thinking about what it would take to reach out to the woman that I used to be – like you, I was the woman who yelled at the TV and knew that the country was heading in the wrong direction but felt like I didn’t have a voice. And if I did speak up, maybe no one would listen because I had no formal education.
I learned that the important thing is not your education so much as your willingness to learn. And you don’t need a large platform – if what you are saying makes sense, people will listen. I want to reach out and get more people involved, but I’m especially talking to the women out there who know wht the right thing to do is but are afraid that their one voice won’t make a difference.
Eventually, I want to compile enough local stories to put them together and publish sort of a guidebook – how to move from armchair activism to the frontlines. Because I did it. You did it. So many of us did it!  And we all did it more or less by accident.

This Initiative will be headed up by Virginia Kruta

Please submit your 30-40 page write-up to: va.creeper79@gmail.com

  1. It is actually difficult to find knowledgeable persons for this matter, but you sound like you know exactly what you are posting about! Cheers

  3. If you can’t write 30-40 pages, don’t sweat it. And please don’t feel like you can’t be involved. If your story is one paragraph or one page, you can still make a difference. Feel free to contact me with any questions you may have. Talk about your background in politics, what inspired you to get involved, and how you keep your head up under the name-calling and crossfire that come with the territory. I have written a shortened sample of what I am looking for on my personal blog. http://livefromthecatacombs.blogspot.com (Accidental Activism Parts 1 & 2)
