A Declaration of Reascendance
In 1776, our Founding Fathers faced a crisis of tyranny in their own government, and lacking our good fortune of having them in their past, they found themselves left with no other option, than to issue the Declaration of Independence, which of course began with:

“When in the Course of human events, it becomes necessary for one people to dissolve the political bands which have connected them with another, and to assume among the powers of the earth, the separate and equal station to which the Laws of Nature and of Nature’s God entitle them, a decent respect to the opinions of mankind requires that they should declare the causes which impel them to the separation.”

Fortunately for us however, because of their actions, and their later efforts almost two decades later, which resulted in our Constitution and Bill of Rights, we no longer need to dissolve the political bands which connect us with one another, we only need to reassert them.

First and foremost, we should reassert that:

  • –We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.
  • –That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed,

And amend the next phrase to:

That whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter ***or to abolish*** it, ***and to institute new Government, laying*** reaffirming its foundation on such principles and organizing its powers in such form, as to them shall seem most likely to effect their Safety and Happiness.

That is the job of our legislators to perform, and to see to it that it is held to. But even more than that, it is our responsibility as citizens to see to it that our representatives are reminded of their responsibilities and of our awareness of that.

Through the creation of the 16th Amendment to the Constitution, and further acts of Congress, we have an agency of the government, the Internal Revenue Service, which has been acting in rebellion to both the Constitution, the laws of the land and its own charter, abusing its power, intimidating the people of our land, and doing so while operating directly under the supervision and oversight of the Commerce Dept, the Justice Dept and the President of the United States of America.

As such, it has become self-evident that neither of these entities can any longer be trusted with managing or investigating that which they have already so completely lost control of.

As our representatives in Congress, We The People insist and demand that you, our Senators and Representatives, shall see to it that there be:

  1. an immediate halt to normal operations of this IRS
  2. an immediate hiring freeze
  3. an immediate investigation by an independent prosecutor
  4. an immediate halt to any plans that this agency be given oversight of any area of our healthcare system

WIBC_Garrison_Loesch_Breitbart3-150x150So, angry callers swamped the phone lines of The Dana Show this afternoon wanting to excoriate the popular Christian talk-show host for wanting to engage in culture.

Dana live-tweeted the Oscars last night while watching the glamorization of ego event…and some on the Christian right were infuriated at her for wanting to engage in culture. These people argue that by any engagement in modern-day culture, one is promoting and contributing to the leftist Hollywood agenda.

Seriously? Seriously. I’ve got some news for you. Christianity is under attack here in America, in case you haven’t noticed. This is a cultural war we are in the midst of. Politics is downstream of culture. Until we reign in the culture, there is little that anyone will be able to do regarding violence, abortion issues, domestic issues, marital issues, abuse issues…shall I go on? First, we must recapture and inject pure biblical principles back into our society. What happened to honesty, humility, compassion, responsibility, purity, and respect? Until we obtain these, the rest is moot. The only way to achieve this is to engage in the culture that promotes the antithesis of Godliness.

And just a reminder: Without cultural engagement, we would never have had Elvis, Johnny Cash, Bob Hope, Ronald Reagan, Charles Schultz, CS Lewis, or, of course, the show Growing Pains! Could you imagine?

Christ calls us to engage, specifically, in Matt 28 16-20. I wouldn’t argue with that. Just sayin.

Where Do We Go From Here?

Where do we go? What do we do?
A friend if mine, @PoedPatriot really served the meat and potatoes:

First I would prepare for economic collapse for at least two reasons:

#1 No country can withstand the kind of reckless spendin

g that this country has been doing for the last five..History shows it has to come home to roost if it is not stopped.

#2 There are those (many) in Government who wish to see the Capitalist Market (I would say free market but it hasn’t been that in a long time) collapse here in the United States. They are doing everything they can to over load the system and force it to collapse…and now for the next four years there isn’t much that will prevent them from doing just that. (Excessive taxation, high unemployment and reckless government spending is going to collapse the system nicely.. since it all feeds into each other like a snow ball rolling down a hill.)

Second, I would prepare to defend certain important areas of the country. Now yes I do mean stock up on firearms and ammo and no I’m not a nut job. Here is why..

The Communists (Aka uber Progressives) have a long history of violently taking over nations in times of crisis. When a nation collapses (financially or otherwise) chaos reigns as people realize their ‘normal’ lives are no more and the leadership that was in place becomes (usually) useless. The Communists actually have plans in place to step into that void left by the previous leadership (Or at least be teamed up with the uber progressives that do). Now they aren’t going to call themselves “Communists” Hell it will prob be lead by a well known politician and or they’ll do it ‘peacefully’ by having the President issue “orders” so that they will get control of the country (As in “Oh Capitalism failed so now we have to do this etc etc…”). Either way history has proven this is how drastic and radical change is forced on a country by Communists…(Granted the past 100 years they have done a good job in pushing the country their way gradually but historically that is new for them.) And after reading and watching the Communists for the past 5 years..I know for a fact that they are hoping and praying for such a collapse. (By the way this is not a push for civil war or some kind of threat.. it’s just observations based upon historic facts and it needs to be said. No law against preparing to defend yourself.. this is not a call to arms.. So DHS bugger off..)
Third thing I would do is get involved as a citizen journalist or something in that realm. As it stands right now the Internet is our last “Free” place on the planet for ideas. Besides we can do the most good by not only researching and informing ourselves but sharing what we have learned with others. The internet is our Front Lines and right now we are in dire need of reinforcements. Btw..Don’t expect to make money doing this because it’s not going to happen. You do this because it needs to be done..

Fourth.. don’t give up on the Future and make sure you educate your children.. what I have written above may not happen in our lifetime (I know I’m dreaming) but it is imperative that we train our replacements. Looking to the future is where we have failed and the Communists have not. We think it’s our job to fight so our kids can live “normal” lives.. that is a crock.. normal is about defending your Liberty and training those future generations to defend theirs. It is NOT about watching TV, going to Disney World or buying the latest new “gadget” … without Liberty none of that is going to mean squat since you will be too busy doing the Governments bidding. Besides if you do not teach your children your values.. someone will teach them theirs….and the Communists are more than happy to teach them theirs.

Anyway.. that is my short answer.. “shocking” as it maybe.. honestly I’m tired of people not saying what needs to be said. Am I violent.. No.. do I wish harm on others.. No.. but only a fool fails to prepare for what history teaches us will probably happen.

And if it doesn’t happen then we will all laugh about it later.. and you can call me quack for the rest of my life.. a name I will gladly wear with pride.

In otherwords, prepare yourselves. There is nothing silly about stocking up on non-perishables. Canning and jarring is simple and smart. (tutorial to come)

It is easy to stock up on a three week supply of food, water, and toiletries…including a makeshift toilet. Think about this…what if a quake hit, a perfect storm, unrest, whatever. Food on your shelves rotates out, so you never lose the investment. Even better, if you are like me, I hibernate-ish in the cold of winter. That food supply allows me to shop if and when I choose. It really is nice to have your own private grocery store. It doesn’t matter if it is a cultural, social, economic collapse. What matters is you be prepared for anything. Remember Hopkin? What about Superstorm Sandy?

Another point, keep books…not only to pass time, but more importantly, to educate your children. Curriculum are cheap…and you avoid indoctrination.

One final diamond in the rough…stock up on booze and tobacco, as well as small toiletries…great battering items.

Lastly, most importantly, trust in the Lord. He is our refuge, He is our strength. All things are Him (even if it is to press into him in the wake of a tragedy). THAT is the key to survival. Trust in God and speak to Him daily. Open your ears. Gird your loins!

And never, never forget who we are, what we are doing and why we must.

Four O’Clock Flipper Flash Mob #WinMOSen

REASON: Today we are going to protest the Senator Claire “Flipper” McCaskill’s War on Coal and MO Jobs.

Some of you may remember the 60s TV Show “Flipper!”

Today we are gathering in front of Peabody Energy to protest “Flipper” McCaskill and her War on Coal and Missouri jobs.

You can read at the Gateway Pundit about her vote to keep in place the MACT Rule, which provided the EPA with Cap and Trade type authority as well as her misrepresenting her position about such policy to the voters of Missouri on the SAME DAY.

Here is a link to the MACT Roll Call Vote in the Senate. A Nay Vote is a vote to keep the rules which would bankrupt coal producers and shut down coal power plants in place.

FACTS:

  • Peabody Energy is the LARGEST private-sector COAL company in the WORLD.
  • COAL fuels approximately 10% of the energy generation in the United States. One in 10 homes or businesses runs on coal.
  • COAL provides 81% of Missouri’s electric power generation.
  • Missouri 11th in the nation in energy affordability. Due to COAL.
  • COAL is directly responsible for thousands of union and non-union jobs.
  • At AmrenUE out of its 16,546 megawatts of electric generating capacity, 64.8% comes from COAL. These are generated at power plants such as Labadie Energy Center (Franklin), Meramec Energy Center (St. Louis), Rush Island Energy Center (Jefferson County), and Sioux Energy Center (St. Charles).
  • “Flipper” McCaskill’s votes, which give legislative force to her “I hate coal” comments will have a negative effect on the jobs at those plants and the economies of those towns and regions and Missouri as a whole. These policies and support of the MACT rule will cause YOUR “electricity rates to necessarily skyrocket.”

These positions are EXTREME!

They are not supported by the people of Missouri.

National PAC Responds to Gateway Grassroots Endorsement Concerns

Last week, Gateway Grassroots Initiative (GGI) issued a press release concerning a National PAC endorsement of a Missouri Senatorial Candidate. On March 22, 2012, Tea Party Express announced their endorsement of

candidate Sarah Steelman for Senate, and presented her with a check for $2,500 in Kirkwood, Missouri, a western suburb of St. Louis. GGI immediately voiced their concerns over the top-down nature of the endorsement by a National Pac, and at least 18 other independent Tea Party organizations across the state followed suit.

The issue in question was not the candidate chosen for endorsement, but rather the fact that not a single leader of any Tea Party organization in Missouri had been contacted prior to the endorsement. . .leaving many to feel frustrated that this may not have been an accurate representation of the political pulse reflected by the “boots on the ground”. Additionally, the endorsement seemed quite a bit premature, as filing had not closed for the 2012 Election.

One week later, Freedomworks launched a mass-email campaign which garners the appearance of a National PAC reaching out to local grassroots activists for their feedback in the same Senate race, before making thier final decision for endorsement:

While GGI is encouraged by this survey of local citizens, what remains to be seen is the transparency of results by Freedomworks before the National PAC makes their final decision for endorsement. This gives residents the opportunity to have their voice heard, instead of simply having a national organization from another state define who their candidate will be.

STATEMENT BY GATEWAY GRASSROOTS ON TEA PARTY EXPRESS ENDORSEMENT

a Party Express arrived in St. Louis and announced an endorsement in the Missouri Senate Republican primary. This was done without consulting or reaching out to local groups to gauge whether or not their endorsement was a wise one. We feel that this was an important and crucial step that the Tea Party Express missed and it has the potential to discredit the organization in the eyes of Missouri voters.

 

We feel that all politics are local and that grassroots in our area have worked very hard to develop our voice and vetting process for candidates. We are disappointed that a national group such as the Tea Party Express failed to include in their decision-making process the very people that have actually sat down with these candidates and lived under their elected leadership.

 

Furthermore, while we understand that the Tea Party Express is a PAC and not an organizational group, the endorsement carries the implication of a “tea party candidate,” of which there is no such title. We understand that while the Tea Party Express as a PAC may choose to endorse, groups such as ours, unless in extenuating circumstances, especially in a primary when the official filing is not yet closed, and especially when there is clearly more than one conservative in the primary, explicitly do not. It goes against the tea party aesthetic to encourage civic participation locally but then, as a national group, to override the wishes of the local groups who do most of the donating and most of the heavy lifting during an election.

 

In the future, we hope that the importance and influence of local grassroots groups are not ignored and that the city in which they work to change for the better is acknowledged as more than a backdrop for an endorsement.

In the days of the internet, modern media, and leftist bias, it is often difficult to find truth. Frustrating even more, is when you actually find truth, and the Main Stream Media refuses to report on it.

A Diamond in the Rough? “Liberty’s Kids” May Be the Real Deal for Kids.

Cry Liberty may have just stumbled upon a great new find in regards to family programming. Liberty’s Kids, originally a PBS funded program, looks to bring an accurate historical depiction of the Ameri

can Revolutionary War as told by an American teen-aged lad, a young English lady, and a French boy, all three of whom work as reporters under the employment of Benjamin Franklin.

Individual Initiative #4: A Very Merry USO Christmas! #iTIP

What started out as a woman thinking aloud in an email thread has become our fourth Individual Initiative. GGI charter member Virginia Kruta called the USO to make sure they would be open on Christmas Eve so she could bring baked goods to any troops

who may have found themselves stranded at the airport, as they were desperately trying to get home to their families for Christmas.

As many fellow patriots jumped on the bandwaggon, the idea took off. “I thought to myself, we are going to be driving right by Lambert around 3 pm on Christmas Eve anyway. These men and women selflessly put their very lives on the line for us everyday. We should be waiting in line just to hug them.” explained Jen Ennenbach, another member of Gateway Grassroots “Even if there is only one soldier there, that worth it for me.”

Please take the time this weekend to remember our troops, and bring a bit of Christmas to them at your local USO. It could mean the difference between a lonely, frustrating weekend and a treasured Christmas memory. Afterall, that is the least these brave men and women deserve.
