As a result, the home’s den, kitchen, dining and living rooms are all located on its street-facing northeast side, while the house’s three bedrooms span both levels of the building’s more secluded southwestern end.
In the image below you can see that the interior decor of this home is kept simple, clean and natural. The furnishings feature elements of steel and wood, and are incorporated to help highlight the real hero—the architecture. Everything is kept simple so that the blueprint of the home and the materials used in its design are allowed to take center-stage.
Despite the use of raw materials and a clear inclination toward conserving tradition, the interior reflects modern design. Minimalist furniture and an open-plan living and dining area hint toward contemporary living. In the kitchen, the cupboard guards the stairs that lead the way to the second floor.
The residence has four en-suite bedrooms, an open-plan living area, a cinema room, a study, a dining/lounge area and a double garage. “The interior layout creates rooms that could form part of the main open-plan feel of the house, while the clever use of double doors provides the opportunity to create more intimate spaces,” the architects say.
