The apartment is structured on two levels. Each has its own functions and decor. One of the floors was quite difficult to furnish because of the long and rectangular floor plan. The designers chose to seamlessly combine the living and the dining areas. They created a central sitting area with cozy sofa modules in complementary colors. On one side there’s a white brick wall almost entirely covered by a shelving unit that has a metal frame and wooden cubbies. On the other side there’s a low storage unit that runs along the walls and ends into a comfortable bench. The dining table is placed in front of the bench and two chairs matching the sofa sit on its opposite side.
The classic black and white color palette gets a Nordic kick when paired with classic Scandinavian shapes. This minimalist chair from Case is paired with a graphic rug. The setting has a comfortable Scandinavian feeling along with a lively pop from the rug pattern. Decorating a room — or multiple rooms — in black and white with Nordic furnishings creates a space that is minimalist and chic yet still comfortable and welcoming.
