When we think of luxury we think of not only rich colors, rich fabrics with wonderful textures such as deep velvets, but we think of fur. Fur is everywhere, and offers the quintessential pop of luxe, comfort and warmth. While some of these fur accessories are out of most price ranges, there are “copycat” products that are actually well made and visually appealing. Most of what is seen on the luxury end of home decor becomes available rather quickly to the general masses.
A misconception that critics often have of modern architecture is that it’s cool and cold. However, the opposite could be argued. A large number of modern designs feature elements that are naturally warm and inviting, such as wood and stone.
In the image below you can see that the interior decor of this home is kept simple, clean and natural. The furnishings feature elements of steel and wood, and are incorporated to help highlight the real hero—the architecture. Everything is kept simple so that the blueprint of the home and the materials used in its design are allowed to take center-stage.
The residence has four en-suite bedrooms, an open-plan living area, a cinema room, a study, a dining/lounge area and a double garage. “The interior layout creates rooms that could form part of the main open-plan feel of the house, while the clever use of double doors provides the opportunity to create more intimate spaces,” the architects say.
