Attention Christians, this is a Culture War!

Dana live-tweeted the Oscars last night while watching the glamorization of ego event…and some on the Christian right were infuriated at her for wanting to engage in culture. These people argue that by any engagement in modern-day culture, one is promoting and contributing to the leftist Hollywood agenda.

Seriously? Seriously. I’ve got some news for you. Christianity is under attack here in America, in case you haven’t noticed. This is a cultural war we are in the midst of. Politics is downstream of culture. Until we reign in the culture, there is little that anyone will be able to do regarding violence, abortion issues, domestic issues, marital issues, abuse issues…shall I go on? First, we must recapture and inject pure biblical principles back into our society. What happened to honesty, humility, compassion, responsibility, purity, and respect? Until we obtain these, the rest is moot. The only way to achieve this is to engage in the culture that promotes the antithesis of Godliness.

And just a reminder: Without cultural engagement, we would never have had Elvis, Johnny Cash, Bob Hope, Ronald Reagan, Charles Schultz, CS Lewis, or, of course, the show Growing Pains! Could you imagine?

Christ calls us to engage, specifically, in Matt 28 16-20. I wouldn’t argue with that. Just sayin.

Right Online Wrap Up

From the pages of Stix Blog
I wrote a little post about Right Online earlier th

at was pretty much a recap of my festivities at the event. Some stuff stays in Vegas though. (Walking Barefoot thru the Casino and to the bar, etc.)

But in this post I want to take time and give my thoughts on the event and what it all means. It was kind of hard to not think of Andrew Breitbart throughout the event. He was a larger than life figure and will be sadly missed in the Conservative Blogosphere. Many of the speeches and break out sessions mentioned how Breitbart was an inspiration and we are his Army.

So what does that mean to us? Well it means that we are all generals in this #War over the culture and direction of how the country will go. And Right Online was basically instructions on how to wage this #War. There was not much said about Twitter, because basically we have taken it over. As I posted in The Calling of the Clans #War, if we put are heads together and stop the infighting for a little bit, we took over Twitter for a little bit and had #FreeChrisLoesch at #3 in trending World Wide.

But there are other social media sites that are there for the taking. Google Plus, Facebook, Pinterest and others. I also like bo.lt, which is very similar to Pinterest. And there are more out there every day, and who knows what will be next. But Conservatives can take over and own these social media platforms. We have proved it with Twitter, and we can also do it with the others.

The Conservative Army can and will take the narrative away from the MSM and we can take back the culture. Now the main Cultural Icons and those in Hollywood are definitely on the left side of the aisle. But we are slowly getting more and more of a foothold on culture with Movies, Atlas Shrugged and Hating Breitbart to name a few. Also with comedians like Steven Kruiser, VodkaPundit, Steven Crowder and many others.

The whole thing is if we stand together and put our minds to it, we can accomplish anything. I need to make this clear, we are at #War for the minds of the citizens. And each and every one of us can help the cause. Be it blogging, videos (BTW Ben Howe does some excellent videos, same with Duane Lester), twitter, Facebook, Pinterest, and even just commenting on blogs. And also the good old trusty Letter to the Editor.

This is not going to be a short #War and really I do not think it will ever end. As we have seen with the 2010 elections, we can and should win elections. But we do not just stop there, and think all is OK if we elect Republicans into office. We still need to keep a fire under those that are elected and fight to get those that are closer to our ideology elected. Get involved with campaigns, local party and help in any way you can.

As Breitbart say:
